Just as I thought I'd got most of the teething troubles sorted on my 30âs inter and I could get on with the ES2 I walk out into the workshop and find that the petrol tank is leaking and the petrol has stripped the paint off the front of the oil ta
I see from the photo on page 11 of the latest Roadholder that the Banbury run event was supported by the club's spares van. Excuse me for being cynical but I didn't see it at the "National Rally", an event supported by over 100 members.
Does an early ('68/'69) use the same horn as later machines, perhaps like a '74? Or should it have a different type?
I recently relined the clutch on my Fastback, and it is now excessively heavy, it was fine before, but slipped when thrashed. I used the Surflex clutch plates as recommended, and in the correct quantities as per Les Emery.
The comedy section of Septembers RH (Page 13) makes interesting reading. The author states cast iron (chilled perhaps?) camshafts are inferior to the comedians preferred material of EN40B tool steel.
My 1951 Norton ES 2 was imported from the UK in roughly 1983 and never plated here. Hope to have it on the road in the next 4 weeks and Iwill be putting on new licence plates for the first time 30 years
Been tinkering with my ES2 this evening, have straightened out the front mudguard and got the exhaust pipe fitting quite nicely. I noticed that the tool box is only held on by two bolts at the top going through lugs on the frame.

Hi all, I'm hoping someone can help me as I'm a little stuck.... I have a 1961 jubilee with a roadholder front end. What are my options regarding steering head bearings?
The exhaust note on my 1935 ES2 is very loud. So much so that I get disapproving looks from pedestrians and my riding mates don't like to follow me too closely.
Advice would be appreciated on a gear selection problem with my 1956 Dommie.

could anyone identify this gearbox please, I was told its model 50. It looks as if it would fit into a rigid frame and is similar to an upright/dolls head box in frame lug positions.
I saw this on the Access norton website, all it needs ate some slightly lower bars and I could be persuaded to dig into my piggy bank.
Its a pity it is unlikely to be built.
