Valve springs

Forums

I have a 1962 99 and am about to rebuild the head replaceing the old valve springs with new. As it is the atlas type it should have the short ones but the NOC spares only have the 2 in ones. Will it be OK to fit them.

Many thanks for you thourghts. Jim

I have run an SS head fitted with the pre-SS (longer) valve springs without problems for years. I am sure the purists will have something to say about it but it certainly works for me. Gordon.

there about the best you can get,

Thank you Anna. Love to know what you think about useing the longer springs instead of the short ones.
