I have removed my primary chain case cover and want to get to the backfire device? How do I get the bike in gear so i can undo rotor nut or do i have to put it all back together place in gear then take apart again?

My 99 has non-standard fenders, I've acquired a damaged rear one which has a dent near the front mounting hole. My body man is removing it and repairing other damage.

I have established my anti backfire device is slipping, request advice on how best to set this correctly? All help appreciated.

Gents, I'm trying to locate a Front girder fork steering column lock nut for my 1936 ES2. I've struck out at all the places I've contacted in the UK.
In 1953 my father, Ron Jerrard, rode a 500 Inter in the Senior Clubman's. The bike's number is 50,831. If anyone knows of it's whereabouts, his son would be grateful to know.

The oil tank feed housing the filter gauze is damaged. Does anyone know if you can buy replacements?
I have a norton 50 1957 can you supply me with the correct wiring diagram it has a mag /dyno model, also the correct centre stand and part number if possible. It has a single downtube frame and divides into two under the engine.

I am refitting the forks / stanchions / sliders into the yokes, can anyone advise the best way to ensure they are not twisted.
According to the workshop manual the tightening sequence is simple to understand, but not the torque settings. All but two of the nuts and bolts on mine are 5/16" heads with the exception of the two underneath at the front.

Can anyone advise what the front of the chainguard fixes to? I have a repro N.O.C. chainguard with two bolt holes at the front but no bracket to attach it to on the bike. Are there any detailed Dominator frame part diagrams available?
Is it possible to fit a Commando cush drive rear wheel in a Dominator? Is it a good idea?

hi, one of my spark plugs is constantly getting badly oiled up and that cylinder is smoking a bit so removed head today and looking through the exhaust port the exhaust valve is covered in oil, the inlet seems pretty dry.

Justputting a dynamo on top of the mag on a 19S (what a palaver) should there be any kind of gasket/rubber between the dynamo and the top od the magneto to insulate them from `fretting`?
