Good evening
Was dismantling my wheels this evening.(norton es2 1939) one bearing has to be replaced, so i do them all four.
When I measure I see D40 d17 B16(double) and D40 d 17 B 12(single row).
Be wary, someone has recently hacked into my E-Bay account and diverted my purchases and are sending fraudulent e-mails to get goods from unwary suppliers. Nothing to do with bike stuff thank goodness.
I've been cleaning the carb and undertaking some other small jobs, consequently I've not started the bike for around three weeks. The good news is that it now starts easily and seems to tick over much better.
I have recently aquired a W.D. 16h and I need to know what SAE50 oil you would recommend to use in the engine, would you use detergent or non detergent oil ?
Many thanks, John.

The thread pitch and internal hole diameter is the same as on the standard items.

I'm hoping someone can help me identify the model of some parts that came in a box of Norton bits. Front wheel spindle: 10 1/4" long. Wide end is 13/16" x 2 3/4". Centre shaft is 6 1/2" x 11/16. Thread end is 1" x 9/16 18tpi.
As I am 6' 5" tall seat height is quite important. The problem I have is raising up the rear end of a slimline featherbed by fitting longer shock absorbers. However this has resulted in the rear chain fouling the top of the swinging arm. Therefore th
Hi can anyone help me with a drawing or information of the back wheel spindle spacers and nut sequance on my navigator does the felt enclosed fittings back onto the wheel bearings

Hi,
a friend is assembling a 1962 650SS & his front fender is too wide to fit between the fork legs & allow clearance for the shrouds. Not sure if the fender is wrong, or the forks.
I'm about to remove the engine/gear box from my 99, I've never done this before and as I'll be working in a bit of isolation, would anyone have any suggestions as to the easiest way to go about this.
Does anybody know the way round the choice of fuel taps these days, I was going to fit some BAP taps and then found out some ar emade abroad, then found some of th eflat lever type only to discover they are Indian made, I saw some at a show and on
Hi I'm a new member after I recently bought a 1932 16h model in need of a bit of tec.
Could anybody tell me what this cylinder head is off of? It came with a 1951 ES2 engine in bits, but it is missing the threaded holes for the rocker box at the front and back, and the piller with threaded hole inbetween the pushrod tubes.
I am in the process of helping clear out for a friend who has recently passed away and I have these cases to sell.
I am in the process of helping clear out a load of bits and pieces for a friend who sadly passed away recently, I have a box full of upright and dolls head gearbox parts (and a couple of complete boxes).
I have a timing chain with about 1/2 inch play on a model 7. It has been adjusted to the max. Can i replace the chain only or do i have to replace chain and sprockets?
First off, thanks for all the useful feedback i have recieved, i enclose a pic of how i resolved the tank fixing.
