Following the sale of my Commando - after a bittersweet experience of ownership, I am wondering about the possibility of acquiring an Atlas.
How feasible is it for the home mechanic to maintain one please?
Although I have managed to fit the air box that came (separately) with my MK III Commando, I cannot see how to attach the bottom of it.
I have a friend who is starting on a '57 model 19S project that is missing the toolbox. Am I correct in saying that it is the same toolbox on the 19S, Model 50, & Model 77 for '56 & '57?
Seasons Greetings and a Happy Christmas to all.

Out of interest, most period photographs which I have seen of the Commando Production Racer show the front brake caliper as being on the right-hand side, in front of the fork leg, as mine was when I acquired it.
Hi - last time I had the timing cover off my Mk2 commando I put a new cam shaft oil seal in just because it seemed a good thing to do. I wish I hadn't, because now I have an appreciable leak into the points cover.
I may be off topic (I hope I am not out of line), but I would like to thank all those that have helped me in the past with my 1954 Big 4. Here in Minnesota Nortons are few and Big 4's are like hens teeth!!!! So THANK YOU VERY MUCH.
