I would like to try and trace the history of the Mk 3 850 bike I have as far back as I can. From what I can gather factory records were sketchy or non existent. The bike was exported to USA in October/November 1974 then distributed it to wherever

This new site is waaaayyyy to busy with too many choices, etc.
I am not sure why the change was made.
I bought a Jubilee in bits 18 months ago. The bike had lots of parts missing e.g. seat, all of the tin ware, headlamp, mudguards, exhausts and downpipes, toolbox, etc. Even one piston was missing.
Generally speaking it looks good and dare I say quite modern. Everything seems to work as advertised. Nice and simple/intuitive to use and generally a good job well done. Only time will tell if it goes down well.
I got home from the Oxford branch meeting to watch my recording.
I thought it was OK. He covered most of the important events and bikes in the 50 minutes time he had.
I was about to put the cylinders back on my 71 roadster and noticed these screws had been safety wired (see attached). Was this done at the factory? It's not a problem, I'm just curious.

Hello,
Going to strip my first Manx/Inter SOHC engine:
- Anything special I should take care of?
- Is there anything easier to do while engine in frame? Like taking valves springs off,
Is there a paper gasket between the mag. and the crankcase on the Dominator can't find any ref. to it in the manuals. Thanks, Campbell
