Just like everything else in my project, my gearbox comes from several machines and is the pick of the best parts. Most everything seems there but for a few cork "seals" and a shim or two.

It's too dark and cold in the garage to carry on experimenting.. but last time I used the prewar 16H I found a short circuit in the lighting. Ammeter popped across full! No fuse but no apparent damage in very short time.
I have recently become aware of a novel (to me at least) way to assure that copper head gaskets do
not leak oil. It involves use of a soft .005 copper wire around the push rod tunnels and the oil return

Hello all, can somebody tell if the NOC shop is operating as normal, I spent two hours yesterday finding and filling my basket with the parts that I need but when I got to paypal to pay it would not accept my money.
Can any one kindly lend me a timing pinion extracting tool. I believe it's part number is ET2003

I'm having my wheels rebuilt and the man doing it has asked if there is any rim/hub offset on the Norton.
A number of other makes for which he does this work do have offsets.
I can't find anything in the literature nor the web.
Whats the correct horn for a 12 volt Jubilee, or very nearest. I want it to fit into the Deluxe fork apron.

I have just been given 12 litres of Yamalube 10-40 fully sinthetic oil. for 4 strokes . What on earth can I do with that ?. Not really suitable for our old clunkers. Paint it on the fence?.

I've discovered that if I pull the clutch lever in about half its travel with the box in neutral, turning the back wheel also tries to turn the clutch body as if the box was in gear (but slipping if you see what I mean).
