When I bought my 1964 Jubilee as a box of parts it came with the wrong size carburettor. I was hoping that I might get away with using it but after a road test this week there is a noticeable fall in power mid-range.

Can anybody tell me if these are the pistons that everyone warns about the top coming off.
The gear box number stamped on my 1956 Dominator 99 is GB8 3797 and is I understand of the ' laydown " type with the oval inspection cover. I am just curious as to the suffix GB8. Does it relate to anything in particular ?

As the kickstart lever on my 1955 Dominator 99 does not fully return to it's top position after cranking the engine , I am suspecting that the return spring is passed it's sell by date. I note that there are two types of spring.
I'm renovating an 850 Commando and am stuck on the gearbox shell. The selectors won't move beyond 3rd gear.
