Has anyone been following the Acess Norton Cam follower scar oil test thread ?. Its now getting interesting as tests of oils more familiar to Uk riders are included. Who would have thought that Castrol GTX 20-50 would have come out so well.

Hello, can anybody help what is standart oil conumption on this bike? on valve guides there are seals. new reborn cylinders and new pistons, motor has 2000km from General repair . on my commando i have 0.6l per 1000km but domi takes much more.

When trying to open a Roadholder magazine on my iPad I get the message .....Forbidden. You do not have permission etc.,

Does anyone know the size of the Electra Clutch Center to Gearbox Mainshaft nut (040373)? It fits over the shaft that is behind the clutch engagement lever that the clutch cable attaches to.

I have an 88SS fitted with a standard head. Should I set the valve clearance according to the figures for an 88SS or 88 ?

Doing a full rebuild of a 1950 Model 7 that has seen better days.

Looking at the crankcase and noticed something missing as identified in image attached (I hope).

I recently ordered a listof parts for my Model 77 from Norvil. I received items that either Ididn't need, thatdidn't fit, wouldn't work if they could be fitted, or were produced to all the wrong dimensions and in the wrong material.

Thinking of fitting new valve guides and valves to my 750 Combat

Who in the North West(I'm in Lytham) or close to me would anyone recommend to do the work including lapping valves in

Why is it that just when you think you have got a Lightweight nicely fettled something new crops up! My Navigator's petrol tank has suddenly started weeping from somewhere on the back lower seam that the mounting bolt bracket is welded to.

My Roadster petrol tank will be in need of new taps when the time comes to put some juice in it.

I was studying it the other day and wondered if the main feed had a stand pipe, as the reserve tap is specified by a label.

Recently purchased bike is a 1959 Dominator 99. It has electronic ignition and I am trying to determine who is the manufacturer in order to obtain some technical data on it. I can't find anywhere on it a manufavcturer's name. See attached photo.

Is there a belt drive available that fits a 1959 Dominator 99 and uses the Dominator clutch, thus retaining the cush drive feature ? If so, would the belt tension be adjustable in the normal way by moving the gearbox ?

Could anyone advise on the use of powdercoat on the rear brake drum of my 1972 manufacture Commando . It is the quick wheel remove type. My concern is any heat generated by braking.

Just about fo fit the barrels its an 850mk1 with no gasket between the barrels and crankcase.

My decision is to fit a base gasket but do i use silicon to seal it, as the oil way in the gasket is very close to the edge.

I've owned my 1973 2A Roadster for almost 30 years but wear and tear on the old knee joint is currently threatening that ownership. Not wanting to part with the bike I've been looking at the Alton electric foot conversion.

Going to put an anti wet sumping ball valve on my commando

Can you tell me the inside diameter of the feed pipe then I know which size spigot to get

on the ball valve. Would assume its 10mm

Afternoon. A lovely ride over the Blackdowns yesterday, but along the way lost one of the bolts holding the rear stand on (1947 M18). Can't see one on the shop ..... Might be wrong though.

As I have not yet invested in a thread measurer (correct expression?) could anyone tell me the thread pitch/size on the boss outlet for the oil tank on a '55 ES2?

Short of carrying a pack of beer cans , to put under the LH footpeg, I am looking for a sidestand to fit my 1950 Model 7 which shared its frame with other bikes like the ES2.

I am looking for advice on some work I need done to my 1958 Dominator engine. The issue I have is vibration (not a little or even a lot but an unbearable vibration from the engine once I get up to abou 45Mph).

Today Rex McCandless was honoured by the installation of a blue plaque at his former workshop and home on the Limestone Road in Belfast.

Hello, Can anyone explain to me how to remove the rear brake drum from the wheel? It must come off but for now I cannot see a way.

I have just go a 1943 16h in a tatty condition to find that there is no harness and no regulator plus other bits.

hi two question if anyone can help On the late gearbox (navigator) i have been trying to build up gearbox but do not have camplate plunger or spring ,these are not listed in spares does anyone know if general amc plunger and spring fit.
