Hi again, I'm having trouble disassembling the oil pump on my 1929 model 18 , the only markings on the pump are "BEST" has anyone had any experience in overhauling one?

Hi everyone, I'm after a set of rings for a 1929 model 18, the piston I have has got 3 rings all the same. The bore and stroke is 79X100 dose anyone have any ideas thanks Simon

My 71 commando started cutting out on idle so I serviced the twin carbs (new jets, floats etc). The problem remained and then I noticed that the LH exhaust was hot fairly quickly after starting but the RH exhaust was cold.

Is there a side stand for the Model 18 Rigid frame?

Changed my bike from 6 to 12 volt. Do I have to change the 6 volt ammeter to 12 volts.

 I have a new wiring harness and a fairly new 12V 6A battery on my Electra which reads near 13V with no load and drops to just over 9V when the starer is engaged.  Should it fall this far?

I have removed the front Isoelastic engine mounting. The rubbers look shot although I havn't removed the  rubbers yet.

Hi all - Can anyone confirm the internal thread size for the Rocker spindles - near as I can tell it seems to be 5/16 UNF 1972 manufacture 750 combat cylinder head . I need to make an extractor - Thanks for any help

Anyone used a non-original starter on an Electra?  Are there any known sources for replacements?

I am considering fitting a full flow oil filter to my 1956 Dominator 99. Any advice as to which type and are there any associated fitting problems ? I note that there are kits available for the Commando.

I am having issues with the monobloc carb on my 1959 99 whereby she will only run with some choke on and has no power going up hill. I have cleaned all of the jets, raised the needle and adjusted the air screw, all to no effect.

Does anyone know the weight of a std original Atlas piston?

Yesterday I had the opportunity to compare the starting effort of my 1956 Dominator 99 with my friends 1955 Dominator 88. The 88 which has a newly built engine started easily with just a gentle  to firm ‘ prod ‘.

Looked at every illustration that I can lay my hands on and can't establish what I need. Can someone please give me some information about the gap between the end of the gearbox mainshaft and the back of the clutch drive sprocket.

What's the best blast media for removing the old paint from my Jubilee enclosures.

I have never had this done,I quite like the used oily look. Son want's to tart up the scruffy Atlas and we are thinking of getting the head done and barrel stripped for painting.

I am thinking of getting an alloy clutch basket and oil-proof belt.

I have some used fibre friction plates in superficially good condition albeit a little oily.

Hi I have been let down by my first choice of repair outfit. Apparently my bike is "too much hassle".

The Atlas reg 68,eng no 1252257P has been in the family for 20ish years,Bought in Kent as a rough non runner it came with worn twin concentrics and an older dommy? mag.
