Cylinder head oil ways

Hi all - I am preparing my 1972 manufacture 750 Combat Cylinder Head for bead blasting and am looking for conformation on the number of oil ways so that I may block them as well as possible then clear and clean them afterwords .

NOC AGM - news?

So what was the outcome from the Club AGM in Liverpool? I delayed phoning a couple of people expecting that there would soon be news and chat on here, but it's all very quiet. I could not attend due to a major family commitment.

I phoned ANIL up with a list of bits I needed and went down to collect them 2 hours later. Although they are busy, there was time for a short natter. 

All the parts were clearly identified, well wrapped, and fitted perfectly.

Japanese electricity

My neighbor's XS650 wouldn't start the other day and I suspected a bad battery. I hooked jumper cables to it from my 2004 Toyota pickup but got no spark. He put a new battery on it, got spark and it ran like a champ.

Horrors!

Has anyone else come across these heavy duty American isolastics before? (first picture). These were in the repatriated 750 my brother is doing at the moment......

Model 18 oil pump

Hi again, I'm having trouble disassembling the oil pump on my 1929 model 18 , the only markings on the pump are "BEST" has anyone had any experience in overhauling one?

Although the pistons appear fine and run quietly I have found that the top rings appear to have too much clearance in the grooves (at least 5+ thou)  2nd rings about 4 thou, Was thinking of replacing rings but the new ones are no thicker so the we
