Hi,
We have managed to arrange a limited amount of shared accomodation for the rally. Note it will be allocated so pot luck as to who you share with (but you will not have to share a bed!)
To the best of my knowledge it is usual to need an extractor to free the clutch housing from the main shaft splines. Upon removing the centre nut on mine the housing and plates almost fell out.
During the rebuilding of my 1954 Dominator 88 the nuts below the exhaust ports were lost.
I believe they are 3/8 but are they plain or sleeved nuts?
1959 Dommi '99'.
hi folks , i have a problem with my atlas engined p11 , she keeps fouling the left hand plug ( sooty to the extent that plug packs up ) I'm running amal premiers, brand new ones and have swopped over all components in the carbs , so don't think it
Hi. I recently took on stewardship of my late uncle's 1949 International which hadn't run since about 2012. Cleaned the tank, deep-cleaned the Amal carb, watched some videos and talked to people, and now it is running fairly well.
How much oil does the forks take.
Thanks
John
Hi Everyone came across an issue with my 1967 Norton 650SS today.
I've just watched the coverage of the Classic Senoir TT and Lightweight 250 TT races on ITV4. I have to say that some of their coverage of road racing has been bad but this has reached new depths.
Hi everyone re joined the club great to be back got out to Monyash yesterday on my 67' 650SS Norton had such a great conversation with a few people about Norton's! Bit of everything some fast roads some country roads some back roads.
Sorry to keep on throwing questions to the board but I'm still getting to grips with my latest toy.
Timing is now sorted (37deg BTDC thanks to advice here), and this morning it started literally first kick.
I have changed to Avon Roadrider 100/90 tyres front and rear on my wideline 99, as the old SM was not good on the back, but the front is too tight for the mudguard bracket. The 90/90 by 19" has the same profile.
Anyone know what 1934 16H with hand gearchangd tank details are supposed to look like.
Just removed the magneto sprocket on my 1935Es2, after a struggle. The sprocket doesn't have a key way slot and neither does any that I have seen for sale i.e. Rgm and racing Norton, but the magneto shaft does. Any idea why this is the case?
I've fixed my charging issue - I was lucky - the bullet was protruding from the connector - easy I thought, but...
Hi ,
has anyone fitted a 5 speed gear box to a road going Dominator 88 , if so what’s the verdict, are the ratios good for road use?
DAVID
Hi all,
what is the opinion of members on the fitting of electric start to a 1972 750 commando, CNW or Alton which is preferred?

Should the rigid frame prewar Inters have a head steady? It's hard to tell from the pictures I've seen, but lots of them don't appear to have one. One has just popped up on this web site banner, and there's no sign of it.
Hi all. My name is Si and I thought I would introduce myself as a new NOC member and a new proud owner of a Norton Jubilee.
Hello to NOCers this morning I have received my bolt on diamond jubilee badge So now I have to make a back plate so it then bolts on the my Norton nicely and well done to the Spare parts team these guys and girls are doing a great job for our
My 1957 600cc Dominator 99 is rapidly approaching it's complete rebuild following a con rod thro' the crankcase on September 12th 1970. (I'm not known for rushing)
Are they just put in place and the bolting up and torquing of the cylinder head secures them or is there other steps to be done?
Ive just fitted a new Primary case seal to my 1949 ES2, cut to size as instructed and not overtightened the outer case either, Still leaks !!! Is this a common feature to these singles that I will just have to live with ?
Hi, After the excellent reply to my query on the gearbox capacity of the Navigator could I now ask what the primary drive capacity is please.
I bought one, might not be correct, I can't figure out how/where in goes, and can't find a photo. IA pic would be so helpful.
1961 99
Thanks
