Sorry another dumb question.

Hi, can anyone please tell me.

Can I use a pair of upper fork shrouds that came off long roadholder yokes on short roadholders?

They are 6 3/16 inches long.

Hi can anyone give me some advice on changing the ignition on my jubilee, i see there is a kit in the spares scheme, has anyone fitted one of these and how big a job is it, i am also thinking of the 12 volt conversion, i know i will have to change

I have a fairing which I used on my now long gone 1959 99 and I want to use it on my current 1960 99. Over the years I have lost the parts to attach it at the level of the footrests.

Norton Jubilee forks

Hi i am getting on with my Jubilee, i have stripped the forks so i can replace the seals, are the fork bushes pressed on or soldered on, i can see any other way of replacing the seals other than removing them, i havnt found a new pair of seals yet

Swinging arm shaft

Just wondered , why is the swingarm bushes lubricated with thick oil - instead of grease , as so many other , similar devices are . Has anyone out there tried to convert by drilling bigger holes in the shaft ?

Tired tyres

Just got my Commando back from MOT with an advisory notice for the rear tyre. It's an Avon road rider (18") and I don't think it's done more than about 4000 miles.

I recently purchased some small items from Norvil Motorcycle Company, these being 4 x valve guides, spring caps, washers and collets. OK not cheap but readilyavailable. Total ammount£76.99for the parts and £101.04 total invoice.

I've a couple of problems with my 1959 model 50. It could probably do with a full rebuild but for the moment I want to get it back on the road ASAP as it is the best bike I own for riding in the current weather.

hello, i have heard an expert say the dynamo engine is weak around the d/s main bearing area. if anyone has weld strengthened this area, possibly for racing, could you post a photo of what you did?

ES2 mag pinion

Needing a magneto pinion for my 1950 ES2 restoration, I ordered a pattern part through an ebay seller. When trying to fit it I found the taper was too big for the magneto shaft taper, i.e.
