I have a chromed Model 18 Chaincase that I now understand should be black with the domes in chrome. I have searched for some pictorial evidence of this but no luck. Can anybody confirm if this is the case and possibly post an image?

Hello I have had my 16h in the road for years and the electrics have always worked well, I have a modern AO services regulator fitted and the standard dynamo.

I was a little too quick posting a comment, then realised I'd made a "typo".

I notice that the teeth on the fibre/Bakelite drive wheel on my Dominator camshaft are gradually wearing down, I.e, significant visible wear after circa 4,000 miles.

For those that don't know, Fred is a "tinsmith" from Bedford who produces many Norton tinware parts as well as a few other items.

I am using a 1971 750 Commando with a single VMMikuni carb. Bike starts and runs great with no smoke or misfire, but the petrol consumption is 30mpg and the plugs are sooty. I am assuming I should drop the needle one notch for starters?

Help Help!!!! I am just completing the restoration of a 1938 Norton CS1. I am having to have a panel type tank manufactured for the bike as it came with no tank. I desperatly need some photos of the underside of a panel type tank.

Hi Im restoring a 71 commando with a drum brake front and both the workshop and parts manual show a double row bearing in the drum with the same part number as the rear.The problem is mine never had one and I cant see where it would fit.Did Norton

I have a number of spare Nortonoil pumps which I assume are all for heavy twins? but when you compare the hole ports some have only holes, some have slots and holes and some have a hole with long and short slots. what models are they for?

Hello,i am in the process of restoring a dominator i've owned since late 70's but has been garaged for around 15 years.never had problem with the tank leaking before so stupidly had tank resprayed without throughly checking it out other than clean

I want to change the rear tyre on my 99 and was wondering what will be most suitable.

Need your help again folks. Finding sourcing the 'little' parts is a real bind on rebuild completion.

I am fitting an engine from a 1958 ES2 into a 1936 ES2 frame. I've had to make slight adjustments to the frame for it to fit, but all the engine brackets fit fine.

I recently bought a 1936 Norton ES2 in need of a complete restoration. According to the origional service book, and the later log book from 1961 the engine number is 70372, and the frame number is 70435.

I have a data sheet from the NOC showing various details of my Model 18. I have two numbers stamped on my frame one on the upper frame lug and one on the down tube tank lug.
