Hi, has anyone tried the new silencers with baffles from Andover Norton?
Are they quieter?
I need new silencers and would like something not straight through, but only if they make a big difference as I will need to take out another mortgage to buy them :).
Thanks Keith

I have the Andover silencers on my 850, they are a bit quieter albeit not by much. You still have that staccato rasp which is such a great accompanient when riding a Commando.

That is interesting, Uwe. It is unfortunate that you had a bad experience with the poor quality chrome on the Andover N items. You might have hoped for better! It is fortunate, then, that Armours make them in stainless steel. A shame you had to to buy twice.

Keith,
The AN silencers are straight through baffles, as per original drawings. The difference being that they have noise absorption wadding in them unlike others that that leave this out.
They are quieter than other versions, but I suspect that they will not be quiet enough, maybe a change to interstate silencers would help, they are lower on the bike and a little longer so move the noise away from your ears.
