Is it possible to use 99 crankcases for an 88 engine?

Hi to everyone.I put a question on here in December 2012 about clutch drag, having carried out all suggestions i still have the same problem.

On the exhaust side of my 1960 model 50 beneath the oil feed pipes is a threaded shaft which protrudes about 5/16" from the crankcase pointing towards the rear of the bike. I think it is roughly situated near the oil pump.

Just stripped the tank which had self adhesive badges on and found the holes for the real badges. Been searching for badges but only find ones for '57 on. The tank doesn't have any indents and is curved - any ideas ?

I'm building an Atlas from a basket case. Getting there slowly, but I have a question. There's no centre stand, which I can live with, but do I need to bolt through the mounting holes for stability, or is this not necessary ?

I'm just getting to that point in my restoration where by I have spent most of the weekend soaking years of oil and grime from the rims and have fortunately discovered pretty goodwheels underneath it all.

I am about to get my 850 Mk1 Roadster tank lined and noticed the mounts are not as the parts book, instead of separate studs and multiple rubber washers they look like part 060622 which is the same mount used in the head steady and exhaust hangers

Does anyone know where I can buy or have made a leather tool bags that were fixed to pillons on early models
