I have just fitted the above cables, new coils, Pazon ignition, new battery etc, etc.
The bike starts great and runs well up to about 4 thousand revs, when it gets weirdly fluffy, and misfires.
I was with an auto-electrician who told me it is because of the copper cables but did not know why.
Has anyone heard of this?
He is making me up a set of pucker carbon cables, so we can test the theory.
He is convinced though and I have no reason to doubt him yet.
I'll let you know how I get on.

Thanks Laurence (thanks all for all of the responses in fact gents).
I was in touch with Pazon a couple of yeasr ago when I installed it.
The coils are brand new, as were cables and plug caps.
It has taken to eating spark plugs too, but only the resistive type of spark plugs! So far it is OK on its' latest set of standard ones.
It is a real puzzle.
Do you know why Pazon insist on copper leads? If I knew that I might be able to work out what is going on.

Yes, I have heard the rumours and this would have been an early Pazon, I wondered if it was the fabled "Pazon Advance Curve", issue....

Put new copper core HT leads on my Harley many years ago. They went approximately 200 yards before spitting out the dummy. Replaced them with the original carbon jobbies and had no problems ever again. Wierd!

Hi Jack,
I have Pazon Surefire on my 850MkIII with copper core cables, standard coils and (I think) suppressor caps. It will rev to 6 1/2 without any problems, maybe more but it does have 70k on the clock.
I see no reason why copper core HT leads would cause such a problem.
Regards
Tony
