I have a Boyer power box for my standard Mk3. Anyideas as to where it might fit. Its quite a big unit, and whereas it could be fitted under the airbox on a Mk2 , there is no space on a Mk3. Any suggestions ??

Thanks

Hans,

On my Mk.lla I managed to fit it to the underside of the battery box - just. As the Mk.lll battery box is almost certainly different, this might not work for you.

The other factor centres on my theory that the Commando was designed from the battery box outwards. In other words, it's pretty well impossible to do it unless you have the bike in bits.

I don't know how big your box is, but mine is fitted in the triangle created under the tank by the top frame tube, the bracing strut and the headstock. I hope this makes sense.

Hans, I have a 76 Mk 3 and the space problem is that big black air box.

I had nowhere to resite the horn after it packed up until I removed it and replaced it with the earlier air filter. Plenty of room between the back of the filter and the battery now.

PS: I have always used Champion plugs and never had one fail!
