Iam currently rebuilding a 1956 Dominator 99 and I find I have a mixture of push rods in the engine. Should they be all steel or aluminium and what lenght should they be ?

Den.......for you engine and year, assuming it is near original, there would have been hollow shaft all steel pushrods. Many early 99 owners changed them to the later alloy shaft type which were slightly lighter and kept the valve clearance from changing as the cylinder head got hot.
