I was very interested to see Phil Hannam's comment on the predicted life of a Commando oil pump.

I have a 69 Commando that smokes from one cylinder on start up.....when warm it’s fine.

Any thoughts please?

I've replaced the valve guides, valves and springs on my 1936 Model 18 due to a blockage in the small bore copper pipe running from the pushrod cover to the valve guides.

Hi all. I`m new to NOC .Could anyone tell me where to get a side stand for a 1963 navigator , I`m disabled and need a side stand to get on and off .

I have an 850 Commando with what I thought were matching engine and frame numbers.  Certainly, the VIN plate on the headstock has a number which matches that on the engine.

I am looking for a set of clutch plates for a Sturmey Archer 3 speed gearbox for my model 19. Would anyone know where I would be able to source these? I've been searching and have had no luck.

The wheels on my 500T restoration look to be the originals - both Dunlops rims of the correct size and matching butted spokes. They certainly haven't been rebuilt in the 40 or so years I've known the bike anyway.

The splines on the kick start shaft and the kick start lever have both gone on my Electra to the point where the shaft will need replacing.

Would it be possible to put the 'Page Numbers' at the top of each page as well as at the bottom, similar to the NOC shop pages.

Can anyone identify the headlight shell that presently resides on my 56 Dommie 99. I get the feeling that it is not a Norton headlamp at all but I do not know how to research it. The rim is 7 1/2"  and it has a CIBI concave lens installed.

Is there some trick in trying to register to join the Rotary Owners Club or has it closed down?

Hi. I was cleaning up a few more parts of my basket case 1960 Dommie 99 when I discovered that the left hand fork slider has a hairline crack across the underside of the spindle hole (first photo below).

What type of  cylinder head is stamped 23166 and what would it fit.

I have been recommisioning my 650SS to the point where it is running satisfactorily, apart from a tendency to produce blue smoke from the exhaust. I hadn't noticed it before, but that was several years ago.

With reference to my 1956 Dominator 99, could anyone please advise me as to whether the top of  a standard  piston should be level with the top of the barrel / spigots or should it protrude above the barrel top and if so by how much ?

i learned that the 122 is the model code for the 88 Dominators and should appear on the frame and engine. My 1963 88 Dominator has an 88 as prefix on the frame and engine but no 122.

my new project a 1963 88 Dominator came with a cylinder head with 1,3 inch inlet and outlet valves and the casting T 2225 on the top what is related to the Atlantic Green website a 1955 small fin head.
