Commando insurance.
Who do you guys recommend for insurance for a 73 Commando? I'm with Carole Nash just now having swapped cover from my Indian Chieftain to my Commando, but can't help feeling they're not the best value for money. Cheers.

I have read a lot of solutions on this forum relating to worn Norton lower legs/sliders.The people involved whilst they must be very good engineers seem to have got in a mindset about the best way to solve this problem. The solutions I have seen ha

Hi, do any of our American members remember owning 1973 750 Norton Commando engine no. 220507? if so, if you can let me know any history or stories associated with this bike I'd be delighted.
Hello,
has anyone the colour code of a modern colour ( like BMW 123) matching the Norton Silver used on Dominator Twins?
thank you for your help in here
Daniel
I feel it prudent to send thanks to the NOC for their assistance, and many spares, in helping me rebuild my 1957 Dominator 99 over the last three years after 49 years stored in various boxes.
I need a tank and side panel re spray including logos...South West based.....any recommendations please?
Hi, just a note to dispel the unreliability myth that hangs over old bikes.
I had the great pleasure of meeting up with an old buddy from about thirty years ago thanks to my joining the NOC again. I visited Gordon a few Sundays ago and was delighted to find out he was still immersed in old bikes.
Hi all, I bought a 73 Commando, my 5th Norton, matching engine, frame and gearbox numbers 220570. It was brought back into this country in '83 from, I presume, the US. Black barrels, head has H 6 teaped into it.
Does anyone know of a supplier that does the 7 inch spindles at a reasonable price, it doesn’t have to be stainless, the 7 3/8 ones seem more readily available, I’m trying to avoid paying £50+
Dan
Thanks for your help on my previous post about the kickstart on my Electra. I have the shaft out but can't find a replacement anywhere, the NOC site shows the part but it is out of stock.
Does anyone know where I can obtain one?
Hi , can anyone tell me if the two wires that connect to the Lucas magdyno have a soldered connection or is it crimped ?

My Indian repo front and rear fenders are OK-ish but not entirely satisfactory for plunger Model 7. They lack the nice details on side of the fenders.
Managed to buy an eBay rear fender, chain guard unit in Oz recently.
Anyone go today? There was lots of Norton stuff, I picked up what looks like a very reasonable nicely reconditioned lay down box which I need for my 55 ES2, which frees up the AMC box for my Metisse project.
dan
I need to remove the clutch basket on my '37 16H. I haven't got the extractor reccommended for the 16H but wondering if the AMC one in the club spares list would do ?
often hurts, Censorship is a offensive imho, been a member for almost 40 years, through the dark times and this is the worst period I remember
The manual says to have a little patience fitting the forks, no kidding! I’ve lost count of how many balls I’ve picked up! I’m going to try it with the front member off the bike, failing that has anyone found any tapered bearings that fit?
