I have a commando imported into the UK in 1981, at that time you were given a registration of the year of import therefore my bike has an 'X' registration. Anyone know if i can now get an age related plate ?
Hi, I'm rebuilding my 1962 Navigator Deluxe, which did not have an air cleaner when I got it. I would like to fit an air cleaner to protect my rebuilt engine, but space is limited.

1959 Model 50. The bike is 12v positive earth. It has a new RM23 alternator fitted. Voltage recorded at the battery is about 12.5 at rest and over 14 when running the engine at around 3000 rpm. I think this proves the alternator is working.
Hello has anybody got a measurement or details of how the timing/ right side footrest clears the laydown box and avoids the oil feed/ return pipe unions, is it like a Norton twin with the same small tanged /splined bit to a long swept footrest or

'55 ES2, swingarm frame, pre-Featherbed. I don't have an Owner's or Service Manual which covers my model year, I have one which is considerably older, and one which is for later models. The older manual is clearly for a very different beast.
I have a 1961 norton ES2 that has oil dripping from a small hole on a boss on the bottom of the crankcase directly behind the alternator. What is this hole for and should there be oil leaking out.
I’ve been rebuilding my 1960 Dommie 99 crank today. I bought a bolt kit from RGM and, surprise, surprise, it doesn’t contain any bolts - it’s all studs and nuts. However, it seems to work well enough.
I have a wideline frame with a bolted on rear section built into a Triton.
Morning to you all. I need a new set of spark plugs for my 1961 Navigator. It has been converted to 12v electronic ignition and the current plugs are NGK B8ES. These plugs are not listed on the club's spares list.
Hello all,
The rocker feed banjo bolt at the rear of the timing case seems to have been fitted with restrictor wires, is this correct. The engine number is 129822P so the bike is a late production model.
I have looked back through the forum but the last entries seem to be a few years back and I was hoping for an up to date view? My 40+ yr old fastback fibre glass tank has had it, the ethanol proof coating only lasted 12 years and the
Is there an acceptable limit on the vertical play in the drive-side main bearings on a '55 ES2? I am measuring about 2-3 thousandths.
Does anyone have any tips on how to remove the old, badly chipped badge so that I can insert a shiny new one? Digging it out is likely to damage the timing cover, so defeating the object of making it look nice!

I am on the verge of buying a dominator but my knee isn't so sure. Is it possible to convert the bike to electric start?
Many thanks Roger
I've been unsure since I inherited the bike in 2017 from my old man. He thought it was a MK2A as it said so in the eBay listing when he bought the bike back in 2013... so that was that, he thought it was a MK2A & I did too.
Hello - Has anyone ever made a twin carburetor manifold - and twin carburettor set up on the Navigator to get a bit of extra 'oomph' out of your engine if so, please let us all know what your experiences were - and whether there was any improv
For the first time since I put the motor in the frame I rolled the bike out of the garage to see how well I had fit the seat relative to the tank.
Just because we are all in various stages of lockdown does not prevent us from having an Evora Rally <
As you are all bored sitting at home with nothing to do (!), can anyone help me with a problem I am having?
My ES2 '61 is now running after a rebuild.
I had to get a new cylinder head and barrels for my basket case Dommie 99 as the originals were junk ( I now know the true meaning of the phrase ’buyer beware’).
