The forum is busy at the moment, which is a good thing. There seem to be a large number of enquiries from new faces who are wanting to solve technical issues new to them, which is also a good thing.

I had to remove the primary chaincase due to an oil leak. Can anyone tell me- is the crankshaft oil seal replaceable on the drive side without dismantling the engine?
crankcase oil junction block leak. I cannot seem to cure the oil leaking from the joint between the crankcase and the junction block.
What years was the enclosed chain case fitted to the Jubilee De Luxe.

My Norton Commando MK3 alternator has failed. I have taken the opportunity to upgrade this to a 3 phase alternator and associated regulator/rectifier
I am sure Mick Walker is a lovely guy and maybe the publisher's make him do it, but..I have three Kawasaki Four's non- are included in his book on Kawasaki fours in the depth they should be and he includes a chapter on the Kawasaki Six! Why?
Hi. While waiting for my frame to be rescued from the guy who is blasting it (he’s still in lockdown) I have found plenty of things to ‘worry about’ on my basket case Dommie 99 rebuild. My latest one is “what type of head bearings should I use?”.
Further to my previous post regarding replacement of the drive side seal can someone advise the way to remove the sprocket? I have a three leg puller which I thought would pull the sprocket off the shaft fairly easily but its not.

I am restoring a 1972 commando. The bike has been in storage for over 30 years. The disc is rusty. Is it a) safe b) possible to have the disc restored, possibly by machining?
Is there a simple way to identify a combat engine.

My 1960 Dommie headlight shell has 3 holes on the underside. 1 off 1 1/2" - main harness and one 1 1/8" and one 7/8".

Just had a stud made to fit inside the crankshaft to hold the rotor on for a Electra the NOC had no stock. I did get the nut from NOC which fits the new stud fine.
need some help: in order to remove the inner gearbox cover of my mk 3, I have to remove the nuts that holds the casing together (apparently no. 00-0004 in the parts book).

So you have a 99 head with a twin carburettor manifold and you find the carbs have to be Left & Right handed and you have the common ancestor with the float bowl on the left as in all presumably the single-carb variants and you have yet to see

Hi all, i have a 1970 roadster just wondered if its fitted with the correct centre stand, when on the stand both wheels are still on the ground is this correct? this is my ist norton since 1971 when i had a commando roadster.

im finishing up the gearbox rebuild for my 58 domi and ive noticed the washer in the clutch cable release arm seems over sized for the bolt and leaves alot of play is the correct ? or do i need to replace it
