ES2 compression ratio

I currently have the cylinder head (cast iron) off my 1952 ES2 to repair a couple of broken fins. I was quite surprised to see a domed piston with the dome height above the joint face of about 1 cm.

ES2 Oil Tank

I have a 1955 ES2 and the oil tank has a feed pipe connection at the rear of the tank, in addition to the usual outlet and return pipe connections at the front of the tank.  Is this normal and if so where does it feed to?  Unable to find any infor

Seat logo

I need to renew the Norton logo on the back of my Commando MK2a seat. I'm assuming standard waterslide decals don't work(?) and I need a stencil and spray vinyl dye?

Horn - 6V or 12V?

Forgive by abysmal electrical knowledge but how can I tell whether my Lucas Altette horn is 6 or 12V?

It barely blips on 6V but on 12V it is super loud albeit very raucus. 

fork thread size

Having trouble with the thread on the crown lug even with a new adjuster nut for the head bearing from n o c . It is unbelievable how both old and new nuts are so tight.

Which battery

I have a Norton model 50 single, 1957; could anybody advise the correct battery for this bike and a serial number?  I’ve been told that it hasn’t been converted and that it’s a 6volt large. This is all I know. Many thanks
