Which Inter oil tank ?
Hi Colin,
Make sure you get the right one as there are more than half a dozen different shapes and specs.

Do they all fall into two…
Do they all fall into two sets: cut away from battery or full wrap round? But are they interchangeable within the each set?

Which Inter oil tank ?
Hi Colin/David,
It all depends what year the bike is or whether you want to keep it original or make it more of a racer etc.
The first 2 years, all Inters had full wrap-around with left hand fillers, in both welded and soldered. The half wrap-around was introduced for the1934 season and for 1935 the full soldered W/A was redesigned for the racers. When the plunger frame was introduced these had to be tweaked to miss the higher frame tube, and for 1948/9 they were welded as in Colin's photo. In the final Garden-gate year (1950) they were made in aluminium. The half W/A were all welded and for the last couple of years were bolt-through fitting. Most of these types can be swapped around, but double check first to save you any regrets.
