Father Christmas brought me the dvd of John Hudson rebuilding the heavy weight engines. In the dvd John used oil on components while rebuilding the engine then he primed the engine with oil. However.

My 1931 Model 20 has a 4 speed Sturmey hand change fitted. The box inside is in lovely condition as is the clutch.
Considering the swing arm and fitting a grease nipple (oil applied) upgrade to my 1997 Mk3.
The original end plugs are in and the chances are no lubricant applied since new!
Sudden rash of Jubilee barrels with pistons on fleabay.
No connection to me.
May be useful to someone on this forum.
There is also a pair of heads "with hardened seats" for sale.

I need to remove the knob from the shaft - do I simply unscrew it, or is it locked on? I’ve tried to unscrew it, but didn’t want to force it and risk breaking the knob.

I have recently bought a 1950 ish Big 4 and have a query about the numbers. Engine number on the bike is E732831 Frame number on bike is 39544 which appears to be stamped on.

Very recently there was a post here asking about replacement clutch spring studs for the early Jubilee clutch.
This clutch can be identified by a small spline and a hardened ring in the back of the clutch centre.
Does anybody know what the difference is between Mk3 and T160 black cap silencers? Is the cap a larger diameter on the T160, meaning a narrower circumferential clearance with chrome outer tube?

Im about to fit indicators to my ES2 and am looking for a period LH switch that will do the horn, main and dip and indicators, the advance/retard is on the RH.
