Hiya - I maybe having a senior moment!! But all I can find is the later gearbox drgs. Does any one have an expanded drawing with the earlier gearbox with the curved camplate please(see attached picture).

hello i have a mod 18 engine, i don't have a crankshaft, finally i found one, i found one the connecting rod is 4099 and the crankshaft number is 263s i don't know if it fits to this engine?, anyone have the crankshaft numbers?

If I change to electronic ignition which one is the easiest to fit and will I have to change the coils?

Interesting article about a Commando in latest RH. One thing caught my eye that he only ever used Fuchs Renolit S3000 liquid grease and never had a gearbox issue. Have searched for this stuff with no luck, anyone else used it?
All I have read about the Wipac alternator rotor states that the bore of the rotor is 1" diameter as opposed the the 3/4" bore of the Lucas rotor. Most recently mentioned in the "Alternator Help!" thread that is presently running.
I found some footage on my PC and along with some photos put it on you tube. Sadly a few guys aren’t with us anymore but I enjoyed remembering them.
Anyone know how many teeth on a standard Dolls Head gearbox sprocket on a 1938 Model 18 Norton
Also where can I get a sprocket with more teeth so that I can make the gearing a bit taller ?

I just want to know if anyone has fitted an external oil filter to an older twin eg, a `63 88SS with no issues? It still has the original oil pump, just wondering if it was adequate or if a later six start would be necessary?
