Just stripped the tank which had self adhesive badges on and found the holes for the real badges. Been searching for badges but only find ones for '57 on. The tank doesn't have any indents and is curved - any ideas ?

I don't know what the difference is between a 55/56 badge and a 57 on part. Perhapssomeone can compare the 55 part number 18678 to a 57 parts list?
The badges have a rubber gasket that fits behind them so don't forget to buy these as well. Factory part number is 18676.
