Oil filter for Jubilee

Required for jubilee engine rebuild oil filter and complete alternator

Hello there,

Have you searched NOC spares? The oil filter gauze unit is part no. 17398 and I'm sure it's listed in Lightweight spares section. Gaskets are there as well.

No idea though on the alternator. It MIGHT be the same as the later 4 speed BSA Bantam?

Hello there,

To get the best information on the alternator speak to Al Osborn -the Technical expert on Electrical. He knows his stuff on electrics and can probably tell you what is available. He is very helpful and has written articles in Roadholder on electrics. He did say in the article that it is the rotor which is generally the cause of low charge as well.

Just like Keith says the Lucas stator (original or replica) does fit OK but the problem is getting a replacement rotor which fits and an old Wipac is probably of very little use. The centre hole in the original Wipac rotor is 25mm approx which is bigger than any Lucas that I know - otherwise the Lucas rotor would work. Maybe the answr is to mill out the centre hole in the Lucas rotor but best to speak to the electrical expert first. He can supply new Lucas alternator parts.

Patrick.
