Hi allMy 68 fastback had extended forks when I bought it. The stanchions are 31 inches long and should be 23 1/4. The problem I have is trying to figure out what is going on with the internals.
Can anyone tell me what the recommended clearance is for a Jubilee piston, mine is waiting for a rebore.
I should add that they are heptolite pistons and came with no instuctions.

Looking for the good wrench size for a bolt that is neither 1/2" nor 9/16". What is the size between?

I have had the kickstart that came with my 1951 ES2 replated and fitted it back onto the bike. But kicking the engine over a few times and the splines in it are just bending out the way.
I finally got my ES2 out today and got it started. I am yet to get the knack of starting it but once itis going the engine sounds good and oil is returning etc...
62 Slimline 88 std.
Q. Is the drive side crankshaft a COMMON SIZE with later 12v Atlas, Mercury, Commando etc ??? Ie any/all rotors will fit shaft?
I wondered if anyone can please recommend a manufacturer of aluminium fuel tanks to fit a Commando 850. I'm after a Lyta type tank and have seen some Indian tanks but wonder about the fit and quality. Thanks, Patrick.

I am currently getting my '53 long stroke Manx road legal ready and was wondering if a standard Dominator kick starter could be installed into the manx gear box to make starting a little easier.
My primary chain appears to tighen its self on my 1938 model 50. I have tightend the top and bottom fixings on the gear box. Any ideas why it should do this? Should there be some king of locknut on the adjuster?
is there any chance of adding a location (town/county) of the suppliers in the services fields.. saves opening them all up to find somone local...

Hi Everyone, just fitted my new hagon shocks for my 650ss on the top mount theres sideways play was nothing in the box other than the shocks and the preload spanner do i need to fit anything else?
Hi, I've just fitted a single carb manifold and although it came with a fairly thickhead to manifold gasket there is no heat insulator. Is this going to be a problem?

Does anyone know roughly how much oil these boxes should take?
I'm rebuilding the gearbox in my Mk111 and using a roller bearing on the primary side of the layshaft. I fitted the inner race to the shaft and then I found I had to gently tap the shaft in order to install it into the rollers.

I need a bottom roadholder yoke for a 1953 500T. I sent mine for blasting / coating and the complete idiot (yes you know who you are) has managed to destroy the thread beyond repair.

According to my factory notes aBrown Blue lead comes from the negative battery terminal to the centre blade of therectifier then on to the Zener, capacitor and master switch in that order.
My Cafe Racer is fitted with the short sport "silencers" and has been remapped to suit. In a couple of months it is due for it's first MOT and here in Germany an emissions test is part of the MOT.
