Drive side crankshaft

Forums

62 Slimline 88 std.

Q. Is the drive side crankshaft a COMMON SIZE with later 12v Atlas, Mercury, Commando etc ??? Ie any/all rotors will fit shaft?

Need to resolve charging problem so going 6v to 12v. Is the alternator/stator housing common to all models ???

Sorry if wrong sub section but not getting replies on Electrical section.

thanks, John

AJD...conversation started with 62 88 Slimline std....which indicates year and model. Std indicates coil/dist.

All in full on the ELECTRICAL section as I thought that was the correct place for this query. I have now had a couple of replies there....BUT of course all help is appreciated.

regards John
