Norton at Brooklands
Is anyone going on Sunday? I'll look at the weather on the day and ride up there from near Eastbourne if the weather is good.

I would like to know how the seat is fixed to a Norton Dom 600cc 1962 wideline frame,a photo of the underside of the seat would help.
Thanks
Hio everyone
Iâve just purchased a 1975 Mk2a Commando Interstate
Unfortunately, the bikeâs speedometer has the green globe design whilst the tachometer has the NVT arrow type.
If you have not had an invite via the factory as organizer of the Norton Festival I can tell you that you had better think about being at this wonderful event.
Being a new member I am realy diserpointed in the lenth of time it is taking for spares I have orderd and paid for to come, they may be cheeper but to be honest I wish I had paid more and had them within a few days
Nearing end of 72 commando rebuild. Can't find detailed info re where:-
Breather pipe goes from left hand crankcase - does it go to back of air filter?
Pipe from right hand crankcase - where does this pipe go?
Just booked up for two nights at the INternational Rally, OUCH!! Why are the rallies so expensive, are the club hoping to make a whacking great profit out of it?
I am posting this here, as it only concerns club members. This subject has been raised before, but, no progress has been made. I live in Spain, but pay full membership subscription, and do (eventually) receive my copy of Roadholder.
I have just been given a set of Long Roadholder forks with the top yoke having two small riser type handle bar clamp. Does anyone know what years and models this type of top yoke was used on?

I have acquired a set of NOSNorton 600 pistons [ Heplex ] with the reference on the box end of 16362 but I can find no reference to this number in any of my literature.
I'm trying to put my 194116H clutch together - the bike's a basket-case, so some of this is guesswork. The originalbasket appears to be from a later bike as it has more clutch plates than it should have.
Puzzled as to why mine lights WITH the left hand indicators, but NOT with the right hand ones!!
Both sides work fine, front and rear, but reading the wiring diagram I assume the warning light 'earths' through the side not being used?
I have a Dominator gearbox, number N18238, that I plan to match with a Weslake engine. For Registration purposes DVLA require the age of the gearbox. Can anybody give me a guide how I can find this out please?
An interesting one hour programme on the Norton Factory at Donington and a review of their entry to this year's TT could be seen on ITV 4 last night (Tuesday). You can catch it again on ITV Player, search for TT 2014.
Just picked up the latest issue of BIKE magazine. A nice article on Richard Hammond's 961SE in there - Good to see Hamster featuring in a bike magazine too for a change.
Hi I am just wandering how long it normaly takes to get a reply from emails I emailed the spares dept 5 days ago asking when some more side stands for a jubilee may be availeable but I have had no reply does it normaly take a wile to get a responc
Are the deluxe panels for the Jubilee and the Dominator deluxe the same size. If they are a different size how can you tell.
Thanks
John
Apologies for starting further conversation on this but I fear my latest query might be lost to view at the end of the very helpful series of Q & A's I have already had.
Where can I purchase dzus fasteners for the Jubilee deluxe side panals, what size do I require.
A couple of the dzus wire attachments on the frame are broken, other than welding is there any other way of repairing them.
Thanks
I have a friend who could produce new barrels. What i need to know is what is the market for these and what size/pattern would be of interest. Alloy or iron ?.
My bike cut out at 70 mph yesterday.
After a few minutes it re-started and I started it first kick this morning.
It is a Fastback LR with a push/twist fuel cap. There was some staning aoroud the fuel cap breather hole.
Hello from downunder!
Ive recently taken possession of a 1939 big 4 and am new to Norton !
My query is which parts list should i get from the nocshop ? The ones listed stop at 1938 !
Cheers Stuart
I am refurbishing the tank on my 1936 16H as what is left of some aged sealant in the rusty inside is breaking up and the whole thing needs sorting.
I've been lucky enough to purchase a 1936 'garden gate' works racer and would be interested in hearing from anyone who may own a similar machine or know of any similar machines. Haveany others survived ?
Hi,
I have a 1934, 1937, 1938 panel tanks that I am restoring and they have been re chromed and the panels satin chromed.
I had the misfortune to have to travel along a road that had recently been resurfaced and the loose chippings have done a good job of removing the paint on part of the lower frame.
Well guys and lady's as we are getting older by the minuet , and we all need to think about the Future riders and Norton enthusiasts , so I been cogitating ,and just may a new young member and riders Scheme need too be put in place with the EC a
