Hi all, I just bought a new seat for an ES2 but I thing this one is for 1956 on. And the ES2 I'm working on is from 1955. As it seems to be the same frame, it would be fine to have some pics about a 56 model to seehow to fit it.
I have a pair of roadholders and want to change the seals,the problem is that the seal holders seems to be screwed down into the forks,when I look down into where the seals are there is something which I assume is a seal holder,it has two holes on
Hi, Can anyone out there advise if an ES2 wideline petrol tank has any indents or cutouts to clear the rocker box? If it does a photo would be appreciated. Regards Colin

I am currently restoring a 1968 650ss and unfortunately for some reason, the rear mudguard has been cut away at the bottom area next to the gearbox thereforeI am trying to source a replacement.
I seem to have an oil leak from the front of my 1971/ 750 and have read so much about head gaskets am a tad confused. I would probably go for a quality copper one myself is that the way to go?
i have just had a look at six norton twin wheels and though some have been rebuilt two look original ie rusty and withold spokes [front butted] hardly any match! is there a factory way of spoking?
Has anybody got any ideas about fitting an alternative sidestand to Commandos? - I have a MkIIA and I'd like to be able to hook the sidestand with my left foot such that I could extend it prior to dismounting.
I'm fitting a Reynolds steering damper and have all the parts, or so I thought.
Does anyone know, what is the purpose of the paper washer between the bushes and can a substitute be fitted.

I was just testing the resistance of my alternator when I spotted that the wires are blue, brown and green and yellow, you dont have to be Sherlock Holmes to realise that its been rewired!
My 1957 dominator 99 has recently started to wet sump.
On starting up only the left hand pipe smokes but clears after a few minutes and will be fine for the rest of the day.
My 1969 commando had a broken barrel base,Common fault in the day,so i bought a second hand one i thought was good.A standard bore is 73mm this one is 73.52.or 73.1/2 My question is what size over is this,and could i rebore it.its looking good sli

I just got my "new" 650SS home. According to the History section they where always silver. But my bike has a green tank with a piece gold striped black. Oil tank and battery cover is gold striped. The seat have a hump.

I have a problem with my Domi clutch running out of true and am looking for some advice.
The bike is a 1954 model 88 but is fitted with an AMC clutch. The bike has just been rebuilt but I have an issue with the clutch.

Some slimlinepetrol tanks have their filler caps left of centre and others on the right hand side. I have examples of both.
am ready to start restoring a 1934 Norton Mod 50 in the U.S. can anyone please recommend a source of bits in the U.K. ? thanks

Will any other model forks fit my 1950 model 7? My tubes are rusted solid in lower legs. I can use the Model 7 triple tree and just put out new forks. Thought itmight be easier to find another set. ES2 or Atlas maybe?
