Should this hub be fitted in the middle of the wheel or should it be moved towards the axis?

Hi guys - I don't have any info on 77 Dommies but my ES2 (1955) is fitted with one their gearboxes (GB8 1591). Can anyone tell me the top gear ratio for an early fifties Dommie 77 gearbox? Cheers George

I'm finally restoring a 1968 Fastback that was a basket case I've had for years. The builder is experienced in British motorcycles but there's a cosmetic problem that's vexing me.

I am on my second new crank oil seal in the timing cover. The first disintegrated after forcing with a socket used as a drive. The original seal had practically fused in place and had to be scraped out bit by bit.

Sadly the 'new' key didn't work, but I suspect the lock barrel is seized anyway, as it exhibits no movement within the outer body at all.

Gearbox advice please.

I have just re-fit the front cover having just had it machined out for proper oil seals around the kick starter pawl and gearchange shaft, but now find myself unable to select any gears.

Am I alone in wondering?

Hello everyone! Does anyone know the big end nuts tightening torque for a '48 ES2?

Can anyone confirm whether the speedo cable in the NOC shop noted as being for a "Chronometric Featherbed" will fit a '55 ES2? It's the correct length (57.5") but the past number (SS09 F2_H12) does not match the book part number of B2/552.

Tim Stockdale"s advice to check gearbox oil forGL-4/5" ness had me checking out the top shelf (not for the first time). As it happens the gear box oil was O.K but the 85/140 swinging arm oil was GL -5.

When rebuilding my 850 gearbox, I noticed that the mainshaft bearing in the inner cover was rather notchy, so I ordered a new one from a reputable dealer.

I'm in need of a video or some instructions on how to lace wheels on a 74 commando; disc front and drum rear wheel. Fellow here wants over 350 pounds to do the job. From videos I've seen on you-tube it shouldn't be that difficult.

Does anybody know the correct thread size of the petrol tap hole in the tank, it's a 1974 interstate. I have measured the dia. But my thread gauges don't seem to match the thread on the old tap.
