Hi, question. I have a clock which had an extension from the rear which looks like a net curtain wire and was broken. I unscrewed it thinking I could remove the back of the clock but have a problem.

1953 Model 7

I am about to start assembling my 1953 model 7. (Engine/Frame No: H7 483XX). Can anyone who has an original machine please post a photo showing how the brake light switch (Lucas Model 22B) is mounted. Most photos only show the timing side.

Atlas clutch issue

Working on the primary area I notice a bright wear marks on the inside faces of the clutch drum where the plain plates sit. like indents on the center (from the friction plates) these will surely make it hard for the plates to lift.

I am starting work on my1974 850 commando - again.I need to replace my rusty from wheel with stainless and might go twin disc;

Painting

Good morning folks , I am asking for some advice on painting my 1960 mag alloy Manx hub and plate , I have been told smooth coat hamerite have any of you guys got any suggestions ( what about powder coat) .

Valve seat angle

Hi.

I need to recut my vale seats. Does anyone know if the angle is 30 or 45 degrees. The engine is a 600 99., Haynes manual says 45, is this correct.

Centre stand

Is the centre stand on a 55 ES2 supposed to clang against the underside of the silencer when going over bumps? I can't find any adjustable stop. George

Wheel Alignment

Hi

Just done a wheel alignment check on my 1974 Commando 850 and discovered the front and rear wheels are not parallel.

I haven't noticed any obvious handling problems.

I have an ex-race rolling chassis which has no frame number, the original lower left tube had been replaced with a section to carry oil for chain lube, and with it the gusset plate had been changed.

ES2 Cafe Racer Project

I have an ES2 1953 which has a decent engine, gearbox and frame. I would like to restore the machine with a cafÃ? racer look. I wondered if anyonecould give meadvice regarding suppliers for tank/seat and other parts.

Clutch lift

Recent data on the variety of clutch spring lengths lead me to dismantle my clutch which is 1955 laydown box. The springs were more or less as quoted for length and I reassembled and used by dial gauge to check for equal lift.
