I've noticed a small amount of white smoke when the throttle is blipped and - I'm told - when running normally. I fellow NOC member suggested water in the fuel tank.

I am not sure where to put this request. Last time I managed to get to a TT was in 2007 and the fellow who housed us at the time has decided not to do so any longer.
I bought and fitted a Chinese rev counter. It works by sensing the spark lead impulse via a cable wrapped round the lead. It is set correctly (4 stroke single) but seems to read about double what I consider the revs to be.
Hi
I am about to fit a new centre stand and found there is no hole in the cross bar for the other end of the spring.

Hi
Is there a connector to read error codes that cause the engine management light to come on, if so where is the connector located and can you read the codes with the same equipment used on cars?
Thanks

Hello all.
As the title suggests I know itâs almost impossible to diagnose issues without seeing or hearing the bike but I am now at my wits end.
Please bare with me I will try and give a brief history.

Hi,
The sharp eyed amongst you may have noticed that we have a new addition to the NOC Technical Support Team.
My Model 88 is running well, with one issue I need to sort. I fitted a Commando oil filter plate in the scavenge line, behind the gearbox. If left for a few days, it takes ages for oil to start returning to the tank.
Unable to source a throttle cable for my 56 Dommie so I have to modify another one to fit. Can anyone help me with the the actual difference in length between the outer and inner cables. I have already messed one up through guessing/estimating.
I'm in the process of stripping the top end off my 850 Commando and hit a snag in getting the cylinder head off â my trusty old box spanner that fits the three nuts accessed via holes in the top fins between the exhaust rocker covers has finally g
While cleaning the grunge off the rocker box and distance pieces I noticed one distance piece has a grease nipple the other does not.
No where in my 38 handbook does it talk about greasing the valves.
Andrew, your article on AMAL Mk 1 concentric spring and needle movement echoed exactly the problem I had with my concentrics on a Triumph T120 Bonneville with twin carbs.
Guys, the petrol tank brackets on my frame are missing or modified. I have now sorted the rear one out, but could anybody please tell me what the measurement should be, between the hole centres of the front petrol tank mounting bracket?
Isn't it time we had a slot on the forum so we could pose questions (maybe even get an answer) to the NOC Committee?
The shaft of my helical speedo gear has sheered in half. I'm not sure of the cause, but it meant the pinion gear came off, got caught up and snapped a break shoe while riding!
I'm struggling to find a replacement so was wonderig:
I am fitting a new three phase alternator to my modified Model 50. The problem is to adjust the gap between the alternator rotor and the coil winding ring.
I have been out in the garage recently and am quite pleased with my version of a crankcase drain plug. It is a brass fitting as used by plumbers for connecting up to a plastic water storage tank plus a standard brass stopend.
It has taken the best part of a year but here are the results
The mag on my 57 dominator 88 has a poor spark on one cylinder pobably because the contact breaker gap cannot be set the same and so the energy transfer will ok on one pot but not the other. The ring cam measures the same thickness on both lobes.
