Just been reading that the oil dip stick should be 5" long not as mine which is 3.5" Long
Can somebody explain please.

I have a 57 ES2 withan AMCgearbox S/No N4107, (pre 62 type) and need to replace the kick start stub shaft, my dilemma is that there seems to be several types out there.
I have finished polishing the front hub on my Navigator, the question is is it worth varnishing the polished finish or best to leave it alone?
My 1956 Dominator currently has a wet 6v battery installed. Any recommendations for a sealed battery which I think will be a safer bet in the event of a spill ?

a, Is it still o.k. to refit?
b, If not, can it be straightened?
c, How might this have happened?

I have run a Boyer ignition system and powerbox on my 2A Commando for the best part of 25 years without fault. I even have a spare set I bought once because I thought I had a problem, but I was mistaken - so it's still on the shelf.
Looking thro my old Roadholders I came accross a usefull article from Sept 2012 page25 by Al Oz. showing how to improve the layout on a 650 SS.
A big thank you to John Holmes for recommending CWClassic.co.uk who have just returned my Navigator petrol tank after completing a very neat and sympathetic weld repair to a fatigue crack round the rear mounting lug.
AndJTheres a few on eBay at the moment if anyone needs one, but sadly no pre featherbed ones !
Hi. I have just had an Alton electric start fitted to my 850 mk2a Roadster 1975 today.
The threads on exhaust inlets are worn,can anyone suggest someone to repair (Inserts or helicoil)

I am looking for original Dunstall parts for 650ss/Atlas to restore a genuine documented Dunstall 650ss to the condition it left Dunstall in 1966. I have an original picture but realise fibreglass tanks will all have rotted away by now.

I've been told its a N8030, but this is not correct and does not align up the clutch with the engine sprocket.
I have tried to email the spares dept. several times, in the past few days.

Can anyone confirm if full width hubs (front and back) all had butted 8/10 gauge spokes? My builder received 9 gauge and they are almost pulling through the hole?
Rebuilding 1973 commando 750 roadster, the original mudguard had far to many holes in it, and the fitting was a botched job and was attached only by the two horn bolts .
Any suggestions where I can source an engine sprocket for my 1932 International 490.
Just running the black plastic oil lines to the rockers.
I've acquired the early hand shift device for my 31 model 20.
Once fitted and the rear nut behind the gear case is tightened the lever will not move.
I am not sure if this is the right place to ask, but, I have just tried to email an enquiry. Igot a message saying mail was not being accepted, and, I should try again later.
Is this likely to be resolved, fairly soon?

The thread in the frame bracket is shot and I cannot secure the tank properly. So a helicoil insert is in need.

Just fitted an RGM front brake master cylinder conversion. For the life of me I cant get the damn thing to bleed.
i have a 72 registered 750 commando which is proving to be somewhat odd. Registered 72 and distributed to Gus Kuhn in jan 72. This has matching numbers in the 200,000 series.
