Hi, I have a 73 mk1a and when I puty a flat ruler edge on across the top surface of the cylinders I can see that it isnt completely flat, i can rock it ever so slightly, the area between the bores must be raised, is this normal or do I need to ski

hi 1951 ES2 3rd gear difficult to engage if you nudge the gear change up very slightly then down it will engage or be very  Brutal have changed the selector spring?

Afternoon all.  I have spent the last 6 weeks inventorying my parts, cleaning the cylinder head and removing rust for my 54 Dominator 88.  I believe I am ready to start rebuilding the cylinder head.  Are there complete kits out there that include

Battery strap

I have a heavy duty 12 volt battery under the seat of my Electra. I don't have the proper battery strap (previous owner had used a bit of bunjy cord) so thought I could fashion something out of stuff I had lying around.

Crankcase drain plug

I'm not keen on having to remove the sump plate to drain the crankcase should this become necessary. I noted an item in the light twins compendium where Martin Jones had drilled and tapped the plate and fitted a 5mm setscrew.

Rear brake lever stop

The Electra shows its cheapskate FB origins in a number of areas although many of the design features seem excellent. One thing I think awful is the mickey mouse rear brake stop which is merely a bit of bent tin trapped under the footrest.

Im am looking at buying a low mileage 2011 Norton Commando 961 to compliment my 72 roadster, my question is, are genuine parts readily available for the Donnington Park models and where from? I can`t seem to find much on the web.

Breather pipe routing

Specifically the pipe from the oil tank to atmosphere.   Is it directed down to the front end of the rear chain guard or elsewhere?

I'm getting conflicting information.  I thought the standard arrangement was to the chain guard.

Light switch

Afternoon

There is no retaining clip on my light switch it looks like it has been stuck in with mastic.

To get the light switch out I take it the switch breaks apart either side of the headlamp shell?
