Hi, I am looking for some information on the repair of a an Advance & Retard unit, The unit is stiff and does not fall back to the the retard position. 

I have a Solihull 961 that has an oil leak that is hard to locate.

Can I use LED bulbs to give a better light on a standard 6 volt Lucas system.
I would like to use them on all lights on it if possible.
Does anyone have any experience of this.

removing the bottom nut on the 650SS is a problem.  Unless someone makes a special spanner I am going to have to cut up one of mine. Could drill out the stud from the timing side !.

Changing these to chrome but cannot decide on round or rectangle type bar end mirrors for by '61 Dom 99 DL.

What is the preferred style?

I want to fit a side stand to my ~1930 framed model 18. The club lists a bolt on stand part number E2/1014 for years 1945 to 1957. What has to be done to adapt it for my older bike?

I recently fitted a new kick start shaft, now when I kick it over the back wheel rotates and the kickstart won't return properly.

Tank started leaking at rear left lower side and has damaged the paint was looking at repair and repaint but £600 just for the paint job and the repair on top put me off so started looking for a replacement.Seen quite a few new on eBay for around

Hello, I have a N15CS without a seat and want to make a 3/4 length seat, bit like P11.
Does anyone know any other seat pans that fit the N15CS frame.

I now have the Electra back on its wheels and off the lift - always a slightly fraught procedure but successfully carried out.

Anyone tried one? Do they blow the fuse? Have a 12v conversion. 99 dl. 
I've got a full length crack on mine. 
I can't find single headlights but found a pair of 7" for a mg which look like it'll fit with h4 bulb and pilot. 

What sort of filter would have been an original fitment. Would have to fit a 376 , so possibly a later model .

I found the small Norton outside sticker in the shop but there is no link to purchase.
Can that be sorted?

The current (Feb2025) issue of Classic Bike has a nice piece by Ric Parkington about the Pll hybrid. As well as a brief history of it's genesis, there is his road test, and some period adverts.

Went to see this film the other day which I thought was excellent.  There is quite a bit of footage of Bob Dylan on a Triumph tiger 100.

Does anyone know if McIntosh racing is still in business? I've been trying to contact him without any success.

I have seen 2 needle jet specs for the Electra - .105 and .1055. Any idea which is correct? Incidentally, apparently the previous owner couldn't get it to run properly.
