A quick question ....
After Removing my Main shaft Free gear N8040 from my Dolls head, I noticed that the
bush is an easy sliding fit in the gear pinion. Am I correct saying this should be a tight friction fit to the gear and sliding freely on the main shaft?

No it is a sliding fit, hence the oil holes.
