My clutch has been dragging badly when when its been running for aver 10 miles or so.
I'm just about to resurrect a '36 Model 18 (and Swallow sidecar) that my Dad bought back in 1981. It had a good few years use but has lain at the back of his shed since 2001, when it died on me in torrential rain when I was out shopping.
I have inspected my gearbox internals, and they are mostly in great condition.
Apart from new ball bearings and seals (routine), the sleeve gear and mainshaft second gear bushes are a little sloppy on their shafts.
Got the LR Fastback back together and ready for its MOT. Running well apart from occasional popping and banging on the overrun or when the engine isn't loaded.
Out of the blue ,the battery on my Mk 2 850 has failed, a 12N9-4B-1 it won"t now hold a charge and the charging light stays on all the time.

The kick starter has started catching the silencer on my '72 750 roadster. It started as a very light catch and now hardly goes past it and not only make starting difficult but also damages the silencer.
I have just readthe interesting warning, on this Website, regarding helmet stickers and the French Gendarmerieor their mates.
Does any body know where I can get a self extracting bolt for the advance/retard unit on the mag?

Any body know of a supplier of the cork washer used to seal the kickstart shaft of the laydown box. Ive had a go at making them but failed miserably.

I need to change the mag on my 58 dominator engine, but even though I've taken off the timing cover, oil pipes and footrest I can't get anything on it.
I've got a selection of 1/4 whitworth spanners.
Attempting to do this at the moment. Have loosened the distributor clamp but turning the distributor (tough in itself) the shaft is turning also so the points gap isn't altering. I must be missing something. Should this happen?

Can someone explain the steering stop arrangement on a wideline frame please? I suspect my frame may have been modified as, when i offer up the yokes, there is nothing for the lugs on the bottom yoketo 'stop' against.

Hello, instead of regularly changing the primary chaincase seal (and others of course) when adjusting the gap between rotor and stator for example, did anybody tried to put a copper seal? I mean to buy a sheet of copper and cut the seal in it.

I recently consulted the spark plug table located in the technical section of this site and ordered the Champion N5 for my 16H without another thought. This is wrong. The N5 is a 14mm plug with a long reach.

My 1961 99 Dominator with Boyer ignition has become a pig to start despite fresh petrol, new plugsand with a freshly charged battery at over 13V. Tickover is good with new concentric carb.
