My 1949 ES2 has an iron head and seems to require a long reach plug. The recommended plugs are all half inch reach, the long reach plugs being listed for alloy heads

Hi I have a 72 750 interstate with a mild clonk from the forks, i have ordered the bush and seal kit and studied the haynes manual but having never stripped forks before wondered if there were any tips/short cuts/tricky bits??.
My 1963 88SS rear number plate tinware is wrong (possibly BSA) and, what's worse, shabby. But can anyone confirm the correct type?
Can somebody more knowledgeable than I help me please.?
I am putting together a 1964 650SS engine which, unfortunately , has no crankcase bolts to which I can refer.
I am trying to work out how the brake pedal return spring should be fitted to my wideline. The only way I can see that it will go means that the spring would end up pushing the pedal down - clearly not what is intended!

I have a 1948 ES2 fitted with a standard Amal 276 type carb. The tickover is rough as rats. I have checked the inlet for air leaks and the slide is ok. If the pilot screw is turned in or out, it makes very little difference.
To Chris Grimmett.
Hi Chris, the message board says you made a post, in the Rider's section, this morning, but, there is nothing there!
I fear I ought to add a brake light to the 16H - sadly I live in an urban area. But the standard all-purpose Far East thing - with its clamp on the chain stay and clamp on brake rod - is so hideous...even after it's sprayed black.
I have an intermittent ignition failure on my â72 Roadster Commando which started about two months ago.
While riding along the ignition fails and the bike stops!
Torque Settings please for the worm drive nut on a Dommi 600?
I am noticing that too much torque causes binding in the crank rotation.
Many thanks.
Hi is it normal for oil to appear on top of the head nuts when eng is running. I am having a lot of problems trying to stop oil leaks on the right head and have oil coming out between fins and running down barrel.
