A question from another forum:
Can anyone help with the following please.I am building a 1960 ES2 cafe racer with an Alfin alloy barrel and a few other mild tweeks here and there but I am not familiar with the oil system. Which is the feed and return to / from the engine and is the pipe from the left hand side a breather?Any help will be very much appreciated.ThanksRobert

Hi Skip,
The feed from the oil tank goes from the large union with filter to the top union on the motor and the return from the bottom union of the engine goes back to the smaller union at the front of the oil tank. There is a fitting on the return union at the tank to feed the rocker gear.
The union on the drive side is the spring loaded crankcase breather.
