Mk.3 Commando JP colour scheme

Forums

Hi I have acquired a 75 Norton which when it left the factory was painted in the jp colours white , red and blue. I am keen to return it to its standard condition , my question is what colour whitedid Norton use/ I appreciate colour matching etc unfortunately I don,t have that option.

I understand Leyland flam red , Rootes ming blue, where used but I cannot find any reference to which white???

The final colour will depend on what type of paint you use and most original finishes will have yellowed by now. Modern white colours tend to be too 'bright' and blueish.

I've had a couple of white 'Players No. 10' Roadster paint jobs and and after lots of deliberation have always come back to Ford Diamond White. It was in use from 1972 so is from the correct period.
