Hi All
Couple of photos of my shed find as per my previos comments, that is so long as I have got it right?
I was cleaning up the set of Dynamo 99 Barrels I was planning to use in my project, they are a STD bore set I've had a long time, so I got a shock when I noticed 3 hairline cracks in the spigots radiating from the clearance notches on the back sid
To recap, the forks on my 1956 Dommi 99, at full extension, leave a gap of about an inch and a half from the bottom of the lower fork shroud to the top of the chrome seal retainer.
Hello all. I have been reading on ACCESS NORTON SITE about the rear wheel spindle braking and was wondering is this such a coman thing to happen??
Are they the same as the Dominator or other models?

Right I think this is the correct ( if not nicer ) seat?
I was under the (apparently mistaken) impression that photos would be changed on a regular basis. How about a new one being posted?
Maybe a bike in "near original" condition.
Back again
I am fitting the front pegs and something must be missing I have looked in the parts manual, but it shows the wrong side and I cannot make it out
The lhs all makes sence
Hi new to the forum and have just aquired a 1963 650SS (Feburary shipping date to Australia) basket case.
I have been restoring a 1924 bike (sorry not a Norton) with the hand oil pump and drip system.
Has anyone a picture or drawing of one. One that shows the non return setup that stops the oil going back into the tank.
Hi, I have been given a file containing letters sent to and from Harry Stanford /Ron Mead and Ray Pettty concerning 250cc Manx Nortons, the Mead 250 Manx was sold at Stafford 2 years ago, as for the Petty bike all I can determine that it was the o
I have only just acquired my slimline featherbed and after speaking with Norvil after 4 pm I have discovered the first problem. My bike has wideline shocks on it (they are an inch too long at just under 13 inches bolt centers).
Hopefully someone can help me...
I have a 1971 750 which has been stripped down.
A common question I guess but untimate frustration has set in for some help ...
Have worked on my Roadholder forks, which when fully extended left a gap between the seal holder chrome top and the shrouds (see original thread for photo.) Partially disassembled, everything looks right.
Hello to all,
since last year i became the proud owner of a Norton 850 Commando Interpol '74, Frame No. #850#F 111 107# Engine No. #319242#

I have a siezed swinging arm (on the bike!!) and am getting set up to replace the bushes and possibly the swinging arm if I cannot get the old bushes out without damage.
Released the screws on the timing side cover on my 16H. It has not been run since 1961. Very surprised to see clear, honey coloured oil appear. Is that peculiar?
I've rebuilt the front forks on my 1956 Dominator 99 ... but they don't look right. Notice in the photo the gap between the chrome cover and shrouds. That shouldn't be, should it?
My master cylinder has been adapted with the reduced cylinder supplied by RGM. A local engineering company did the drilling and tapping. I fitted the new bore myself. All seemed to go together OK. I kept everything scrupulously clean!
I am a new member up here in Minnesota with a 1954 Norton Big 4. I'm wondering if there is such a thing as a parts manual showing a blow up of parts with numbers like the ones for my Velocette LE and Cyclemaster Motor Wheel?
I have a 51 year old Arse and it doesn't like my Commando Interstate seat. I would like a more comfortable seat for my machine or a mod to the rock hard one that's on it. A tad lower would be good too.
Hi back again. I asked a question about dating my Norton 16H/big 4, I have been told it is of 38 era.
I now have been told it is a 16H (WD) On checking this morning I have found the W prefix
Good evening one and all.
I am new here, and new to classic Britishbikes in general, though have had a lot of Jap bikes in my riding life, while I was waiting for something more interesting to come along...!
