The one on my ES2 (laydown box) was cracked so I got a new one from NOC spares - good quick service.
Hi when we met up at the wharf I said I'd find the details of where I got my tank pad. It's from a company called 2nd skin autographics. Great quality product.

Is this style of fabric on top still available?
Back of the seat is covered with tape.

I cant see how to remove the advance -retard unit on my navigator, it seems to be stuck on somehow, any advice on removing this unit please.

Im trying to build a bike from bits but I donât have any mounting bolts (except gearbox upper mounting) does anyone have a list of the bolt sizes and threads so I can procure them?

I went to remove the crankcase drain bolt on the Right side but ran into a snag.
it seems a socket will not fit due to the tight clearance between nut & frame. The slot has been increased over the years.
Ihave aBB mk 3 on a ES2 recently purchased whichwill notstart.
With the bike on its centre stand (rear wheel off the deck) and in neutral, the wheel can be turned easily.
If I then pull the clutch in - still in neutral - the wheel becomes much more difficult to turn.
Any clues what's wrong?
Not sure if the oil pump on my Navigator is up to scratch. Actually I know it isn't because the bike wet sumps after only a few days; what I don't know is how serious it is.

About 15 years aho the club unveiled a blue plaque at the Norton factory in Brace Bridge Street.
Does anybody know where the plaque is now?

I would like to restore my fathers Dominator 99. It has been in a shed for over 30 years but most parts are there, though perhaps in less than perfect condition.

Got asbestos shoes....a nice pair. Cleaned drum carefully with brake cleaner. It stops worse than before! I see the old vintage shoe had slight decreased circumference on the top and bottom of each shoe end.

Different texts seem to have different info.
I have 3 books with clearances ranging from .002 inlet - .003 exhaust, right up to.006 inlet - .008 exhaust.
On my 38 Es2 , I tried to drain the oil and discovered the bolt head was rounded. Once off I had the tank flushed ( grungy )
Now I need to replace the Tank drain bolt.
What is the correct size that I need and who sells them ?
For the last couple of 30 mile trips I've found that the gears were hard to engage especially 2nd for some reason.
If I'm reading the wiring diagram correctly (55 ES2) the horn circuit goes up to, but does not pass through, the ammeter. Mine deflects to negative when the horn button is pushed. What's the routine for sussing this out?
