MOT Test
Hi everyone. Have you looked at the NEW MOT test? No oil leaks, no smoke. That means no Classic Vehicles in my vocabulary. How do you get an old Ford Diesel through? or a leaking Norton Chaincase?

Congratulations to the events team and their supporters for an outstanding display celebrating 50 years since the launch of the Norton Commando.
A well deserved award of 3rd Best British Club Stand.
I switched the lights on and a bit surprised at the yellow glow!
I can highly recommend this engineering company for cylinder re-lining and other engineering work. They re-lined and honed the barrels on my 1964 Jubilee at a very reasonable price.

Hello to all Nocers we all really need to make a real effort to find new members and younger motorcycle owners.
Whilst rebuilding my 1969 Commando I decided to upgrade to a Lucas three phase 180w high output alternator to cope with better lights, heated gloves etc.

Hi all, I've seen various threads on this subject and I wanted to share my latest improvement: the fitting of a new Andover Norton 13mm internal diameter master cylinder. This is a superb improvement and I'd recommend it to anyone.
I bought this 1975 MK3 as a non-runner from a dealer last year, and spent the winter restoring it but with some modern touches. I fired the bike up today and it started first time! Runs lovely and sounds sweet as a nut with the peashooters on.
I have recently purchased a 1955/56 es2.could somebody identify the gearbox for me.
It is stamped G102 A 8064.
Hello I am cracking on with a dominator for a friend, itâs had loads of problems that have been sorted now, the last thing to sort is the kickstart as itâs destroyed the splines, I have ordered a new kickstart but I am on the look out for a shaft

I came across these pictures in my 'Norton' file on my PC, Can't remember anything about them or indeed where I got them from but they do seem to be a very unobtrusive 'Isolastic' modification - does anybody know more about them?
Hiall again!!!!.
I have just carried out my first proper shake down test on my 500t.
I am strippiing and rebuilding a 1961 ES2, but cannot find technical data such as piston/barrel clearance, ring gap, small end diameters, etc.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Having laid-up my '55 ES2 back in December and rebuilt the gearbox and clutch I know find, having got it all back together, that I have no spark. None from the plug and none from the lead (via the plug connector and a screw).
nearly finished changing my bike back from cafe racer to what i call my Norton mongrel. the tank is just ledged on with no rubbers. still got to finnish off the tool box i call it my consumer unit as all the electrics are in there .
