Mag removal
Anyone have a good idea how to get the bottom nut off a K2F mag on my Dommi 88.
I'm thinking probably offside footrest removed and make a cranked spanner to do the job?
Any other tips very welcome.

I want to fit indicators to my 72 750. I am more interested in visibility, safety and reliability than originality.

Saw the 50th anniversary version at the Excel motorcycle show in February and after looking around I decided to place a deposit for a 50th anniversary 961 Sport in metallic green.
Hello,
we have already 29 bikes starting at the Norton Parade on the Red Bull Racing Circuit during International Rally in Austria 2018.
I have been working on the Atlas and found the axle would not slide through as the legs appeared to have diferent lengths. Realised this was due to unequal entry of damper rods into the top nuts.
My beautiful and expensively repaired and re painted 650 fuel tank has just fallen foul of the dreaded Ethanol jinx.
I am getting no response from anyone at Norton Owners Club. On June 12th I received an email from Neil Shoosmith stating that, by end of next week (I.e.
I have just rebuilt the clutch on my 1935 Es2. This was all new plates and springs. The reason I did in the first place was because the clutch wouldn't operate due to the cable and handle bar lever coming right back to the bars.
This subject has been discussed previously, but was something I had not considered.

Good evening,
i found these oil damper tubes with 4 holes under the cone in my 1967 650ss roadholder forks.
New oil dampers (from norton motors) have on hole in the middle of the cone.
My lights died on the way home last night. Battery run flat due to non-charging by the dynamo (Lucas E3L on a Dominator). It has been off the road for 30 years, so I think the dynamo needs flashing. How do you do that?
I've fitted a new main bearing to a mid fifties laydown box. It was double sealed so I removed the inner to allow lubrication. For that same reason I did not - originally - replace the steel shim/oil seal in the inner side of the bearing.
I bought this very sad 1946 16H with a 49 motor in terrible condition some time ago as am plucking up the courage to start the remedial process. I managed to purchase most of a 47 motor sand piston and conrod and some other important bits.
I've just recently bought a 1977 Norton Commando. Can I ask some pretty obvious questions.
Coming to the very end of my 850 ES project, started the engine and it has the well documented oil dripping from the 3rd fin up on the head. The head is a RH4 which I know are problamatic.
Hello All,
What is the accepted method for fitting lightweight heads? At what point does one fit the push rod? Do you drop the push rod in and them assemble the rocker arm once its in?
Cheers

Andy Sochanik has messaged me concerning a potentially dangerous situation that may arise when using 7" sliders with 7 3/8" yokes.
Hi All
Purchased a new wiring loom as above and as no diagram was included with purchase from Andover Norton I'm coming up against problems with so many spare wires.
I have been doing initial shake-down rides on my 1955 Model 88. It seems to be basically OK - seems to be holding together, and only a small drip from the timing cover. Some issues:
Can anybody out there offer advice about oil level in my 650ss ? I have been running the bike for about a year now following a full restoration.
Hi all, just purchased a 1963 Model 50. First classic single to join the stable. I will be taking it on a long ride (500KLM) crossing the Rockies here in Western Canada this Sunday.
es2 is up and running [8o miles including Kirkstone pass]
But what a nightmare lifting it on to the centre stand......I do need a decent centre stand to use on the hydraulic lifting bench.
Did the battery strap on swinging arm single downtube frames ie:- es2 and model 7 have a vertical slot cut in the centre of it with radiused top and bottom originally? Both of my examples look like home made affairs and are solid.
