Hello All,
I have found the awful noise but now have to tension the kickstart spring. Am I right to think that the inner gear housing has to come off to do this?
Just by way of an update and for the benefit of others I've been trying to stop my jubilee impersonating the Torre Canyon (google it if you need to!) while seriously thinking about it setting fireto it that probably isn't the best solution!
Afternoon all, Not sure if this is possible but before registering a 'trace' on the original factory records through the Club does anyone know if it is possible to trace the dealer to whom my bike was dispatched in 1959 from those records.
Many thanks to al those who have previously posted advice to me on this subject. I've taken it on board and progressed with the installation of the new stator and rotor, but I still have issues.........

I took a photo of the wiring before stripping it out during my latest restoration project and my phone has managed to lose the photo.

Bike is 1959 Model 50. I currently have the chain case off addressing problems with the alternator - ref. earlier messages. While I've been doing this I've noticed oil leaking out of a breather tube.
