Just wondering if somebody could help me please.
I've recently acquired and restoring a 1947 model 18. I'm not sure I have the correct front Mudguard I've fitted the guard and the front stays and bottom hoop and they seem to fit fine but it has a centre bridge piece with no other fittings, I have a centre hoop which is far too big for anything. Is the bridge piece correct for this model or should it just have stays or a hoop?
Any help would be much appreciated Kevin.

M18 mudguard
Hi Kevin
I have attached a photo of my mudguard. My Model 18 was made at end of 46, as a 47 model with teles. As you can see it needs restoration which I have recently started. Rear stay doubles up as stand, centre is of flat steel, front stays are round steel and two separate pieces. Hope this is of some use.

I looked and looked..............
...for the center bridge for my '48 Inter and ended up making my own. I first made up a pattern with light gauge aluminum and then duplicated it in steel, 3 pieces then had it welded. Came out nice. Toughest part was the top radius.

Chain guard
Hi Kevin
Here’s a couple of pictures of my chain guard. Excuse the state of the tape measure it’s the only one I could find! This came off my once assembled bike so pretty sure it is the correct one.

Hi Dean, Thanks for that,…
Hi Dean,
Thanks for that, looks like I have correct chain guard.
one last request do you have a picture of the fitting on the bottom of the front guard that holds the rear stay (stand).

Hi Kevin,
I missed this post last week,, can you attach a photo or 2 of the guard and fork legs as these changed over the years and they may have got mixed up.
