hi , i have an atlas motor fitted to an ajs , coming round to refitting the chain case (after an engine rebuild ) the position of the alternator in relation to the rotor is puzzling me , it only sits halfway into the alternator ?
Would a cylinder head gasket for a 1959 to 1966 Jubilee work on an Electra?

I am currently rebuilding a late 1966 Atlas, the clutch lever takes considerable amount of pressure to use, considerably more than my other bikes which include a 1967 650SS, 1957 ES2 [both of which have a similar clutch] or my 1969 Fastback.

Hi all, daft question I’m sure but what should the oil ring gap be? It’s on standard bore, just been honed and is well within tolerances.
I can’t find what the gap should be in the manuals or on the internet.

Just been scanning the News topics and noticed the New Online Technical Books. Wow! This is brilliant, particularly the Electrics book. I have some of the articles, but having them all condensed into one publication with an index is fantastic.
Working on an Electra that was pulled apart by a Norton dealer in Kansas many years ago so things could be a bit mixed up. With the engine mainly finished I am now looking at the primary drive.
I’m looking for centre stand bushes p/n 55.0146. Andover don’t have them and neither do RGM or NOC.
anybody know where I will find some?
